Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Crated, the app and website operated by Oh My! Studio Limited (“OMI”, “we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales at 14a Parade, Leamington Spa, England, CV32 4DW, company number 09315320. By creating an account or using Crated (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Crated. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at hi@ohmy.studio if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. What Crated does
Crated helps you catalogue your vinyl record collection, including via barcode scanning and manual search, using release data sourced primarily from Discogs, with iTunes and MusicBrainz as supplementary sources, and cover art and artist images from the Cover Art Archive, Spotify, and iTunes. See section 5 below for how we use that data.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Crated — your notes, tags, reviews, profile details, and any images you upload (including your profile photo). By adding content, you grant OMI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display it as needed to run the Service.
Some content is public by design. Where you choose to make your profile public, or publish a review or want list, you also grant us the licence to display that content — including your display name, handle, and profile photo — to other users and to visitors of your public profile, who may not be signed in. You control this through your privacy settings and can make your profile private, or remove content, at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how public profiles and social features work.
You’re responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you add (e.g. photos you didn’t take yourself, or third-party material). Don’t upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have rights to use.
5. Third-party data
Release and pressing information shown in Crated comes from third-party music databases — principally Discogs, with MusicBrainz and iTunes / Apple used as supplementary sources. This data is provided by those third parties, not created or independently verified by us, and may be incomplete, outdated, or occasionally incorrect. If you spot an error you can edit it on your own collection entry, though that won’t change the underlying third-party record.
Album cover art and artist images are sourced from the Cover Art Archive (via MusicBrainz), Spotify, and iTunes / Apple — not from Discogs, whose images we don’t use.
Required disclaimer (Discogs API Terms of Use): “This application uses Discogs’ API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. ‘Discogs’ is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.”
Crated is likewise not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by MusicBrainz / the MetaBrainz Foundation, or Apple / iTunes. We use their public APIs under their respective terms, and display a “Data provided by Discogs” credit and link alongside Discogs-sourced records as those terms require.
Spotify. Album cover art and artist images may be provided via the Spotify Web API. Crated is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify; where Spotify content is shown it links back to the relevant page on Spotify and uses Spotify’s branding as their guidelines require. By using Crated you acknowledge that Spotify makes no warranties regarding, and disclaims all liability for, its content; that you won’t modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from Spotify content; and that Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and our Privacy Policy and may enforce them directly against you.
If you’re a rights holder and believe content shown in Crated (e.g. cover art) infringes your rights, contact us at hi@ohmy.studio and we’ll investigate and, where appropriate, remove or restrict it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-extract data from the Service in a way that violates our upstream providers’ terms (in particular, Discogs’ API terms);
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service’s infrastructure or security.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
7. Fees
Crated’s free tier terms apply until we introduce paid tiers. If and when we do, we’ll update this section before those terms take effect.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Crated available and reliable but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends in part on third-party APIs (notably Discogs) that we don’t control, and availability of release-lookup features may be affected by outages or changes on their end.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy of third-party release data, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OMI’s total liability to you arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £0 if you’re on a free plan). We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where such limitation isn’t permitted by law.
11. Termination and discontinuation
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Crated is a small, independent product. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service — in whole or in part — at any time, including shutting it down entirely. Where we do, we’ll make reasonable efforts to give you advance notice and a window to export your collection first, but we can’t always guarantee this. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.
If the Service is discontinued, or your account is closed, we’ll delete your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, except where we’re required to retain some of it for legal or security reasons.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
